Scientists may wish to use the well-annotated data and specimens collected in PASS to answer important questions beyond the initial aims of PASS. Qualified applicants may apply for access to specific data or specimens by submitting the PASS Project Application. Proposals should include preliminary data, study design and procedures for the study, analysis plan, statistical power, types and amounts of samples requested, data elements requested, and timeline for studies.
The PASS Scientific Review Committee (SRC) evaluates proposals based on scientific merit, statistical feasibility, and quality of preliminary data and methodology. The SRC will make a recommendation to the PASS Executive Committee to provide final approval (or denial) for specimen and data use. Before distributing any data or specimens for an approved project, PASS will ensure that the appropriate regulatory documents are in place.
